Nikolay Nikolov has more than 10 years of experience in turning data into relevant and actionable insight. He is dedicated to helping the business make strategic and day-to-day decisions leveraging the most significant thing nowadays – data. His wide knowledge in the field had made him a head of data science team where he was responsible for both Project and People management and development. There he accumulated extensive hands-on awareness in the financial domain built by working for a leader in the advanced analytics services.

Driven by curiosity and as part of his continuous education Nikolay got familiar with the topic  of Text Mining and sentiment analysis now holding a related Data Science M.S.

As young professional he worked and developed the scoring models and credit risk strategies for the top market holders in the non-banking financial institutions industry in Bulgaria. Along with all this Nikolay also has experience working with international clients from Germany, Italy, South Africa, Singapore, Greece, Romania, Poland and Ukraine. Significant part of his work was related with the development of the latest acquisition credit risk strategy while he was operating as a senior risk analyst for the retail credit lending unit in Germany.

As of now his interests lie in exploring new technologies and tools and his favourite – the beauty of data storytelling with a stress on the project’s value.
